Gardening club for Reception in on a Wednesday afternoon until 4:00 p.m. The last session will be on Wednesday 14th May.
We currently have 21 children attending Gardening club this half term. They have worked very hard to weed all the garden areas. Thanks to gardening club we now have white cabbage, red cabbage, savoy cabbage, beetroot, onions, leeks, parsley, mint, chives, strawberries, marigolds, rocket and tomatoes growing in our school. We are looking forward to harvesting these later on in the year.
Here are some photos of gardening clubs hard work -
In Gardening club this week, we have harvested our potatoes. We are going to use the potatoes and chives to make a potato salad. We planted the chives in our very first Gardening club this half term.
Gardening club also helped grow a variety of herbs, shrubs, tomato plants for our garden sale. The Eco Warriors used their Mathematics skills to served all the customers at the sale. It was a fantastic success raising £163.05 for the school Eco budget. The Eco Warriors are going to decide how best to spend this money.
